The Persian Spices Of Artemis Fowl.

Persian cuisine is a king of bazaar if you’ll pardon the pun, of spices, aromas, meats and nuts. An infusion of history and tradition, of communal eating and sharing. Persian food is as much about the culture it comes from as it is about the tastes and experiences of those who dine.

Artemis Fowl, or the Lygon Hangout Cafe, is a page in the Persian book of food. Open brick surrounds your dining experience. A wooden bar stacked with spirits, wines and intricate shishas sits at the far centre, like a podium to overlook the experience of its patrons.

The staff mingle and mix through the busy tables with ease and precision, making sure your experience is a happy one and your table filled with food. They are warm, inviting, and understand the importance of food.

The menu is a list of Iranian specialties. Shish lamb or chicken kebabs, Chenje or Bakhtiyare, Gheimeh with dried lime, split peas and potato served beautifully on the plate. In fact, their lamb is by far their most popular option and we really do recommend any lamb dish they have.

What took us by surprise is their tacos! They have really nice taco options, and even those plates are gorgeously put together. It seems that the chefs at Artemis Fowl really do take pride in their presentations. It is a passion that is shared by all who walk through those doors. One cannot help but feel connected, not just to the staff and those who prepare your food, but to the culture in which they prepare it, the traditions they adhere to, the history that is written.

We hope you’ll turn the page and enjoy your next meal at Artemis Fowl.

Bon Appetite.
