Who doesn’t love a taco? Who doesn’t love a colourful fiesta of a restaurant that serves delicious Mexican style street food with that Californian twist?
Trippy Taco is Melbourne’s eclectic explosion of taco deliciousness and flavour. It’s a world of its own and has been ever since it opened its door so very long ago.
We can’t seem to get enough of the Trip, breakfast, lunch or dinner. Give me a combination of egg, salsa and fresh corn tortillas anytime. Add some of that spicy sauce that’s always on the shelf and we got ourselves a damn good weekend.
There is no meat at Trippy Taco’s but it isn’t a vegetarian joint. Instead, it focuses on fresh and vibrant dishes, and the menu is filled with your classic Mexican fare with some added Melbournian flavour.
The restaurant itself is really fun and simple. The colours are everywhere, the chill vibes bring a sort of familiarity to the place, and it’s coupled with the sweet service and Mexican decor sprinkled all over.
It looks like the sort of place you’ll see on the corner of an alley in Southern California facing the beach and filled with surfers and locals all sharing a cocktail or beer while downing delicious tacos, quesadillas, churros and some really mouth-watering corn cob.
Not too big, but spacious enough, it’s a kind of hangout made for friends, dates and laughter.
We recommend you try Trippy Taco, and enjoy!
